Foundations for Lay Pastoral Ministry is a course offered by the Institute of Faith Education in partnership with Evangelisation Brisbane. It is designed for people who are involved, or have been invited to be involved, in baptismal preparation, family sacramental preparation, youth ministry and/or the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults ministries. The course provides personal formation and develops skills for practical application in a parish or ministry context through a series of six interactive full-day workshops. Select a practical ministry stream from Formation for RCIA ministries, Family Sacramental Preparation, and Youth Ministry. If you have other parish lay ministry formation needs please contact us to discuss your particular circumstances. What will I learn? The course will extend your understanding of sacraments and liturgy, Scripture, theology, mission, evangelisation, ministry, spiritual reflection, policies and practices of the Archdiocese of Brisbane. It will develop your practical ministry skills for supporting, coordinating or facilitating a parish team. Recognition for the course: Foundations for Lay Pastoral Ministry is recognised in the Archdiocese of Brisbane as suitable formation for those involved in baptismal preparation for parents, family sacramental preparation, and/or Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults ministries.
